The Surfers against Sewage #BigSpringClean is BACK!

Do you want to help fight plastic pollution in your local area? Also help to tidy our amazing beach here in Rhyl? Read on!

The Surfers against Sewage #BigSpringClean is BACK, and we're inviting you to be a part of our epic impact!

We're trialling an Eventbrite page this year. to try and give us an idea of how many to expect, but it's an optional thing at the moment.

This year, the SAS are scaling up their data collection to build irrefutable evidence. They'll use this to demand change, push vital legislation through the door, and hold the biggest polluters accountable...
Every piece of beach litter / plastic you collect helps fuel their fight to stop pollution at its source.✊ Plus, you'll get to connect with like-minded people, get outside and do something amazing

So, this Friday, 28 March, between 4pm and 6pm, we'll be meeting at the

Kite Surf Cafe car park.

All equipment can be provided if needed. No experience needed! Just turn up, listen to our safety briefing, then off you go, doing your bit to make the beach and promenade of Rhyl that little bit tidier. Plus some exercise, sunshine and fresh air too!
Family groups are welcome; but please make sure that under 16s are accompanied by a responsible adult. Dogs on leads are allowed on the promenade all year round and at this time of year off the lead on the entire beach.
We'd also like to remind you that we are always happy to organise beach cleans for your business, community group, even maybe a birthday celebration with a difference! What could be better than doing your bit to help our amazing beach and seafront, and then winding down with a few ^refreshments^ at everyone's favourite beachside bar!
* Remember that DCC now charges for parking at the Kite Surf Cafe car park until 11pm everyday; likewise the promenade parking, although the promenade is free for blue badge holders.
If you choose to park on any of the promenade side roads please remember to park responsibly*
Hope to see you on the beach!
